ADC Receives Kwankwaso “The Game Changer” To The Party

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has welcomed the defection of former Kano State Governor and NNPP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing him as a “game-changer” whose move signals a growing coalition for change ahead of future elections. In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said Kwankwaso has directed his supporters nationwide to join the ADC, a development already reflected in a surge of registrations on the party’s online platform within 24 hours.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) warmly welcomes the decision of former Governor of Kano State and Presidential Candidate of the NNPP in the 2023 General Election, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to join our party at this important moment in our country’s journey.
This is reflects a growing recognition that Nigeria needs a new direction, and that the time has come for leaders and citizens alike to come together around a credible alternative that puts people first.
Senator Kwankwaso’s decision speaks to what many Nigerians already feel, that the country needs leadership that understands the challenges people face every day and is ready to take responsibility for fixing them. His experience in governance, his strong grassroots connection, and his ability to bring people together make him a valuable part of this collective effort to rebuild Nigeria. IGP Disu Led Nigeria Police Force On Walkathon In Abuja
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today led officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force on a walkathon from the Force Headquarters to the Unity Fountain, Abuja, in commemoration of National Police Day.
The event themed “Together We Walk, Together We Secure”, brought together police personnel and members of the public in a display of unity and shared commitment to promoting peace, security, and community partnership.

EFCC Arrests Suspects, Uncovers Alleged Employment Scam Syndicate In Ilorin
The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the EFCC has arrested one Bolaji Kazeem Akinwunmi, popularly known as “Bolaji Original,” for allegedly defrauding unsuspecting job seekers of the sum of ₦2,921,700 (Two Million, Nine Hundred and Twenty-One Thousand, Seven Hundred Naira Only).

Akinwunmi was arrested alongside his accomplice and former lover, Kemisola Mary Akinbo. Investigations revealed that Akinwunmi, at different times, posed as an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service and the Nigeria Immigration Service, falsely claiming he had access to employment slots for interested applicants.

IGP Disu Visits The Director-General Of The DSS
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, paid a courtesy visit to the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) at the DSS Headquarters in Abuja yesterday. The meeting underscored the enduring partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the DSS in safeguarding national security.
In his remarks, the IGP described the DSS as an indispensable yet often unseen partner, noting that no major operation can be successfully executed without their involvement. He emphasized the importance of a symbiotic relationship between both agencies, highlighting shared priorities such as election security, counter-terrorism, VIP protection, combating cybercrime and economic sabotage, as well as intelligence sharing.
The IGP appealed for joint training initiatives to further strengthen operational capacity and reaffirmed his commitment to deepening collaboration with the DSS to enhance national stability.
Responding, the Director-General of the DSS expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for appointing IGP Disu, citing his wealth of experience and dedication to the Police Force. He also commended the President for supporting the Nigeria Police through the renovation of training institutions nationwide. The DG DSS expressed optimism that the new IGP would bring his experience to bear in advancing the Police Force and improving on the achievements of his predecessors. He assured that the Service will continue to sustain intelligence sharing and joint operations with the Police, describing the partnership as a priceless national asset.
