Relationship: Cheating Is Not Just Physical, There Are Many Ways Unknown

Cheating is not just physical, there are many ways unknown. Cheating is not just physical…it’s a slow, calculated betrayal of trust. It’s not just the act of being unfaithful; it’s the mindset that allows you to prioritize your selfish desires over the person who loves you.

Texting someone your partner would feel uncomfortable about? That’s cheating. Hiding your phone, deleting messages, erasing your browsing history? That’s lying. Flirting with someone who isn’t your partner? That’s disrespect. Adding strangers on social media just because they’re attractive? That’s dishonorable.

These aren’t innocent actions. They’re deliberate. They erode the foundation of your relationship, one secret, one lie at a time. You’re not just betraying your partner; you’re betraying the promises you made, the love you claimed to have, and the integrity you were supposed to uphold.

The truth is, cheating starts in the small moments…moments where you entertain attention that doesn’t belong to you. And once that line is crossed, it only escalates. The relationship won’t survive if the behavior doesn’t stop. Love cannot grow in the shadows of lies, secrets, and selfishness.

Relationship

If you’re in a relationship where this is happening; whether you’re the one doing it or it’s being done to you…it’s time to face reality. This isn’t love. This isn’t commitment. And it doesn’t just get better. You can’t build a life with someone who’s still entertaining the world like they’re single. You can’t create a future with someone who isn’t willing to leave the village behind and be loyal to the kingdom you’re trying to build.

It’s not a mistake; it’s a choice. And it’s a choice that destroys everything it touches.

ICPC, NIQS Deepen Anti-Corruption Collaboration With Proposed MoU

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) have taken steps to formalise over a decade of strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s public infrastructure sector.

This followed a courtesy visit by the NIQS President, QS Dr. Aminu M. Bashir, FNIQS who led members of the Institute’s National Executive Council to the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja on April 22, 2026.

Central to the engagement was a shared commitment to institutionalising the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would provide a structured legal and operational framework for joint anti-corruption interventions.

Receiving the delegation, ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, described the proposed MoU as a natural progression of an already impactful relationship, particularly under the Constituency and Executive Projects Tracking Initiative (CEPTI).

He noted that the technical expertise of NIQS professionals has significantly enhanced the Commission’s capacity to detect contract inflation, identify abandoned projects, and ensure value for money in public expenditure.

The Chairman also referenced ongoing inter-agency collaboration through a joint technical framework with the Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders of Nigeria (IMBLN), underscoring the Commission’s commitment to strengthening institutional mechanisms that safeguard public resources.

In his remarks, Dr. Bashir traced the partnership’s evolution since 2015, highlighting key milestones including joint professional engagements and the nationwide deployment of NIQS experts under CEPTI.

He noted that members of the Institute have, over the years, provided pro bono services in cost verification, forensic quantity surveying, and project monitoring across the six geopolitical zones—efforts that have contributed to safeguarding trillions of naira in public funds and facilitating the completion of critical infrastructure projects.

He further advocated for the adoption of the International Cost Management Standards (ICMS) and the development of unified national standards for Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to strengthen cost transparency and prevent procurement-related fraud.

Both institutions expressed optimism that the proposed MoU would consolidate existing gains and usher in a more structured, sustainable phase of collaboration in advancing integrity in public sector project delivery.

Umahi: The Passing Of Bishop Peter Nworie Is A Monumental Loss To Nigeria

The work minister David Umahi. I received with profound grief and a heavy heart the news of the passing of Most Reverend Dr. Bishop Peter Nworie Chukwu, the revered Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki.

The departure of Bishop Chukwu marks the end of an era characterized by selfless service, deep spirituality, and an uncommon dedication to the work of God. He was not only a spiritual father to his flock but also a moral compass to society, an embodiment of discipline, and sacrificial leadership.

As a teacher of the Word and a shepherd of souls, Most Rev. Dr. Chukwu distinguished himself through his calm wisdom, pastoral care, and his ability to reach both the high and the low with equal compassion.

At a time when moral clarity and spiritual guidance are most needed in our society, his passing leaves a significant void. Yet, even in death, his legacy remains a guiding light, etched in the lives he touched, the faith he strengthened, and the enduring impact of his ministry across Ebonyi State and beyond.

On behalf of my family and the Federal Ministry of Works, I extend my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the Catholic faithful, the clergy and religious of the Diocese of Abakaliki, and the immediate and extended family of the late Bishop. I also commiserate with all who were privileged to encounter his remarkable life and ministry.

The service was solemn and deeply spiritual. In his sermon, the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ogoni, Ven. T.S.D. Kagbara, reminded the congregation of the transient nature of life.

“This place we are is not our everlasting home. In heaven, there is no more hunger, no more death, no more darkness… Jesus will be the light. We have to give our lives to Jesus. All things will pass away but those who do the will of God will live everlasting life,” he said.
