ADC Discloses How APC Government Pressure INEC Into Taking Illegal Action
APC government to pressure INEC. Yesterday, we disclosed a sinister plot by agents of the ruling APC government to pressure INEC into taking illegal action to destabilise our party, following the milestone movement of H.E. Rabiu Kwankwaso to the ADC.
After meeting a brick wall with INEC, they have now changed tactics, but the objectives remain the same. Information reaching us this morning is that a public protest is being planned for tomorrow, Thursday, 2nd April, in Abuja, sponsored by a particularly notorious minister. Their expectation is that a protest will give oxygen to a case already suffocating in the courts under the weight of its own illegality.
The plan is simple: a paid crowd, posturing as aggrieved party members, will take to the streets demanding “David Mark Must Go.” This, they hope, will create “public pressure” on the INEC Chairman to magically upgrade and recognise an individual who resigned his position and was subsequently expelled from the ADC, to the position of National Chairman of a party he no longer belongs to.

ADC
The plan by the ruling APC government to hijack the leadership of the ADC, the only viable opposition party left in the country, is real. If anything, it has assumed a new level of desperation in the past few days. They are not just afraid of our momentum. They are afraid of what happens when the Nigerian people start paying attention and begin to believe that change is possible.
ADC remains focused on our duty to Nigerians, and we shall remain law-abiding. We will, however, resist by all lawful and necessary means. If they are not acting on his orders, President Tinubu should rein in his enforcers before it is too late.

Olukoyede Charges Students: Steer Away from Cybercrimes, Financial Crimes
The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede has charged students in the country to steer away from internet fraud and other forms of financial crimes, stating that the future of the country depends on the choices young people make.

He gave the charge on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, when the students of Regent Secondary School, Abuja, came on a study visit of the Commission.
Speaking on behalf of Olukoyede, the Head of EFCC Radio and Deputy Commander of the EFCC, DCE Nwanyinma Okeanu, described such visits as an important aspect of young people’s sensitisation against corruption and fraudulent financial practices.
She observed that the students’ decision to visit the Commission marked a positive beginning in shaping their future and urged them to remain focused on the path of becoming responsible citizens.
According to her, “Having students visit us from time to time is one of the ways in which we try to tell you that your future begins with the choices you make as young people. What you are going to become begins with the choices you make today. And having made the choice to visit EFCC, today marks a very good beginning to your future.”
Okeanu disclosed that the EFCC was established to restore Nigeria’s dignity by combating corruption, economic and financial crimes, stating that the Commission’s officers are committed to the fight to promote transparency and accountability and safeguard the nation’s future. She warned against the increasing attraction of cybercrimes to young people and described corruption, economic and financial crimes as serious threats to national development.
Delivering a lecture titled, “Ills of Cybercrime,” Eniola Kayode of the Cybercrime Unit of the EFCC, enlightened the students on the nature, causes and consequences of cybercrime, and urged them to resist the temptation of internet fraud and other forms of financial crimes.
She warned that while cybercrimes may appear to offer quick financial gains, it ultimately destroys lives, ruins futures and damages reputations and encouraged the students to channel their talents to productive ventures by using the internet for education, programming, digital skills, online businesses and innovations.

Olukoyede
The Head of Enlightenment and Reorientation of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of EFCC, ACE II Aisha Mohammed, took the students through the mandate and functions of EFCC and urged them to be good ambassadors of the Commission and the country.
“You have to be good ambassadors. You have to contribute your own quota and your voices matter,” she said.
In his remarks, the Humanities Trip Coordinator of Regent Secondary School, Jatau Shadrach Solomon, expressed gratitude to the Commission, noting that the visit has “expanded the students’ scope of learning.”
Two students of the school, Aisha Ismail and Dubem Moghalu were decorated as EFCC ambassadors.

In a deliberate move to shape the conscience of the next generation and fortify the nation’s moral fabric, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) hosted teachers and members of the Students’ Anti-Corruption Club (SAC) of Noble Guide Academy, Abuja, on an eye-opening educational excursion.

The visit, which recently unfolded at the Commission’s headquarters, was designed to deepen the students’ understanding of the ICPC’s mandate, vision, and mission, while underscoring the pivotal role young people must play in promoting integrity and combating the scourge of corruption that has long impeded national development.
Welcoming the delegation, the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, represented by the Director of Public Education Department, Mr. Demola Bakare, fsi, reaffirmed the Commission’s unwavering commitment to raising a generation of ethical leaders through sustained public enlightenment initiatives.
“Students are not merely spectators in the fight against corruption; they are critical stakeholders whose values and choices today will define the Nigeria of tomorrow,” Bakare stated.
He urged the young visitors to embrace integrity as a non-negotiable guiding principle in their academic pursuits, relationships, and future professional endeavours, noting that the battle against corruption must be waged not only in courtrooms and boardrooms but also in classrooms and playgrounds.
Bakare further elaborated on the Students’ Anti-Corruption Club, describing it as one of the Commission’s flagship strategic platforms for inculcating ethical values, promoting transparency, and encouraging accountability from an early age.
“The club is designed to catch them young—to nurture ambassadors of integrity who will influence their peers, families, and communities. We expect every member to walk away from today’s session with a renewed sense of responsibility,” he added.
In a separate and rousing presentation, Mr. Mfon Umoh, an Assistant Chief Superintendent with the Commission, challenged the students to maintain exemplary conduct and high moral standards at all times, both within and beyond the school gates.
He emphasised the importance of obeying school rules, demonstrating discipline, and resisting every temptation to cut corners, stressing that the habits formed in youth often define the character of adulthood.
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of her peers, the Club’s Vice President, Miss Khadija Haliru, expressed profound appreciation to the Commission for what she described as an “enlightening and transformative session.”

ICPC
“We are deeply grateful to the ICPC for investing in us. We have learned that integrity is not just a word, it is a lifestyle. On behalf of every member of the Students’ Anti-Corruption Club, I pledge that we will remain committed to supporting the fight against corruption and building a better, more transparent society,” Haliru said.
The educational excursion forms part of the Commission’s continuous public enlightenment and preventive initiatives, which seek to nurture a generation of ethical leaders and embed a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability across every stratum of Nigerian society.
