Nedu Wazobia Exit from The Honest Bunch Podcast Amid Controversy

Nedu Wazobia exit from the Honest Bunch Podcast amid controversy. Popular Nigerian on-air personality, Chinedu Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has announced his exit from The Honest Bunch Podcast following ongoing controversy involving social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman.

The drama started after reality TV star Deeone claimed on the podcast that Verydarkman had an interest in men. However, instead of addressing the allegation, Verydarkman shifted focus to Nedu, revealing private conversations and making accusations about his past relationships.

As the controversy escalated, Nedu took to Instagram on Friday to announce his decision to step down from the podcast, citing the need to protect his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.

In his official statement, Nedu expressed gratitude for the podcast’s journey but acknowledged that the intense scrutiny, criticism, and accusations had taken a personal toll. He emphasized his dedication to meaningful conversations but stated that stepping away was necessary to end the negativity surrounding his name.

“The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me. Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and tackling difficult topics.

But with that responsibility has come an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have taken a personal toll.

Senegal Defeats Nigeria 4-1, Emerges Champions Of 13th ECOWAS African Wrestling Tourney

Senegal defeats Nigeria 4-1, emerges champions of 13th ECOWAS African wrestling tourney. The three-day wrestling fiesta held at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola Stadium was part of activities celebrating ECOWAS’ 50th anniversary.

Senegal defeated hosts Nigeria 4-1 in a pulsating team final to win the 13th ECOWAS African Wrestling Tournament in Abuja on Saturday evening.

The three-day wrestling fiesta held at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola Stadium was part of activities to celebrate ECOWAS’ 50th anniversary.

The highly explosive tournament had 11 participating West African nations in attendance as traditional wrestlers battled for regional supremacy.

At the end of the tournament, Senegal clinched gold in the team event, with hosts Nigeria settling for silver, while Benin overpowered Guinea to pick bronze.
Defending champion Niger and Burkina Faso were absent from the tournament due to their recent exit from ECOWAS.

Nigeria started strong in the highly entertaining final but struggled against Senegal’s more experienced wrestlers.
The Senegalese secured victories in the 66kg, 86kg, 100kg, and 120kg weight categories, while Nigeria managed a single win in the 76kg division.

Meanwhile, Benin dominated Guinea across all weight categories in the third-place match, showcasing their depth and determination.
While Senegal claimed the overall team title, Nigerian wrestlers made their mark in individual categories.

Ebipatei Lienbofa secured gold in the 66kg division with a victory over Senegal’s Safietou Goudiaby, while Ebi Bigos thrilled the home crowd with a hard-fought win over Côte d’Ivoire’s Youin Amy in the 76kg final.
The biggest moment came in the 120kg final, where Senegal’s Ngagne Sene overpowered Guinea’s Gino Nitehala to cap off his country’s triumph.

The final was graced by the chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Shehu Dikko, and other top sports officials from the sub-region.

The ECOWAS Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports had, in September 2000, officially adopted African wrestling as an ECOWAS sport.
It aims to popularise the sport for regional integration and Olympic Games status.

African wrestling, a traditional style of West African folk wrestling, is known as Laamb in Senegal, Boreh in The Gambia, and Kokowa in Nigeria and Niger.

Ex-Central Banker Sets To Replace Trudeau As Canada PM

Ex-Central banker sets to replace Trudeau as Canada PM. Canada’s Liberal Party looked set Sunday to choose a former central banker and political novice as its next leader, replacing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as it confronts threats from US President Donald Trump.

Mark Carney, who served as the governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, is widely expected to be named the new Liberal leader when results from a vote of around 400,000 party members are announced later Sunday.

The other main challenger is Trudeau’s former deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland, who held several senior cabinet positions in the Liberal government that was first elected in 2015.

Whoever wins the vote will take over from Trudeau as prime minister, but will soon face a general election that polls currently show the rival Conservative Party as slight favorites to win.

Carney has racked up endorsements, including from much of Trudeau’s cabinet, and a Freeland win would be a shock for the Liberals as they head towards a general election.

Despite dramatically breaking with the prime minister in December, analysts say voters still tie Freeland to Trudeau’s unpopular record.
Carney and Freeland have both maintained that they are the best candidate to defend Canada against Trump’s attacks.

The US president has repeatedly spoken about annexing Canada and thrown bilateral trade, the lifeblood of the Canadian economy, into chaos with dizzying tariff actions that have veered in various directions since he took office.
