Deaf Man Takes Ex-Lover To Court Over Broken Marriage Promise, N100,000 Savings

Deaf man takes ex-Lover to court over broken marriage promise, N100,000 savings. A hearing-impaired man, Kuma Haruna, has taken his former lover, Malma Bilkisu, to a Shari’a court in Kaduna State, seeking the return of his N100,000 savings, which he claims she refuses to repay.

Haruna’s brother, Abubakar, testified in court that Haruna had been entrusting his money to Bilkisu for safekeeping. However, when he requested the funds, she claimed to have only N80,000, significantly less than the N175,000 he estimated.

The dispute was initially brought before a Shari’a court in Rigasa, where Bilkisu presented N80,000, but Haruna refused to accept it. The judge proposed that both parties swear on the Quran, but they never returned to finalize the case.

Now, the matter has been refiled in a different Shari’a court, which has adjourned proceedings until March 17, when Bilkisu’s lawyer is expected to present her defense.

In addition to the financial dispute, Haruna is also seeking justice over Bilkisu’s alleged failure to fulfill her promise to marry him.

Akwa Ibom Indigenes Protest RMAFC Meeting, Warn Against Tampering With State’s Oil Wells

Akwa Ibom indigenes protest RMAFC meeting, warn against tampering with State’s Oil Wells. Akwa Ibom indigenes resident in Abuja on Tuesday stormed the venue of a meeting of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), where the Inter-Agency Technical Committee (IATC) on Disputed/New Oil Wells was sitting, to protest what they described as attempts to reopen a matter already settled by the Supreme Court.

The protesters cautioned that no individual or agency should tamper with Akwa Ibom State’s 76 oil wells, stressing that the ownership of the wells was conclusively determined in favour of the state by the Supreme Court in 2012.

They insisted that any move to revisit the issue through administrative or technical processes would amount to a disregard for the authority of the apex court and could undermine peace in the Niger Delta region.

Akwa Ibom State was formally represented at the IATC meeting by a high-powered delegation comprising leading legal practitioners, government officials and technocrats. Members of the delegation included Paul Usoro, SAN; Assam Assam, SAN; the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Uko Udom, SAN; Uwemedimo Nwoko, SAN; Emmanuel Enoidem, SAN; and a former Attorney-General of Akwa Ibom State.

Ekpenyong Ntekim; the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Aniekan Umanah; Honourable Member representing Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency, Dr Patrick Umoh, among others.

The delegation is expected to present Akwa Ibom State’s position before the committee, reiterating that the Supreme Court judgment remains final and binding, and urging all relevant federal agencies to respect and uphold the ruling.

Osimhen’s Statement Recalling An Inforgettable Moment With Ronaldo

Osimhen’s statement recalling an unforgettable moment with Ronaldo. Victor Osimhen: “Cristiano Ronaldo was at Juventus at the time, we were playing, and we (Napoli) were winning 1-0. I said to him, ‘Cristiano, I want to take a picture with you.’ And he said, ‘Yes, come to the dressing room.’

I immediately went to the dressing room quickly, I didn’t even take off my shoes. I got there in less than five minutes, and guess where he was? In the gym, after playing 90 minutes.

In the dressing room, I met Buffon, who came over and hugged me. Then Buffon said, ‘What do you want?’ I replied, ‘I want to see Cristiano, I’m looking for him.’

Then we both sat and waited outside the gym, just talking. He (Cristiano) didn’t come out for almost 30 minutes, but it was a home game, and I could have stayed there for five hours if I wanted.

I want to tell you the truth, after playing 90 minutes, he… After finishing his hour-long workout at the gym, Buffon invited me to meet him. When we arrived, I was amazed by his physical condition; I thought he looked like a 25-year-old.

That’s when he stood up and invited me to take a photo. He asked the physiotherapist to take it. He asked me, “Is that enough?” I said, “I want more.” So I took a selfie with him, after he finished, he said, “Whatever happens, don’t stop, keep going.”

I thanked him, shook his hand, and then I went to call my friends. I told them that Cristiano and I are not on the same level (laughs). He has talent and works incredibly hard, which is why Cristiano Ronaldo is such a great inspiration to so many of us.

I wanted a photo with him, and I didn’t mind losing 10-0; I wanted that photo with the best”

Salvation Is Not Just Mercy, What Then Is Salvation In The Life Of A Believer: Dr. Damina

Salvation is not just mercy, what then is Salvation in the life of a believer. Many believers think salvation simply means that God decided to forgive their past and give them another chance. But the Bible presents salvation as something far deeper than mercy.

You did not only receive forgiveness; you received a new birth. John tells us that everyone who receives Christ is born of God. Salvation is not joining a church or turning over a new leaf, it is divine life being imparted into a human being.

“Salvation It Is a New Identity”

Because you are born of God, your identity has changed completely. Second Corinthians 5:21 declares that in Christ we are made the righteousness of God. This means righteousness is not something you struggle to achieve; it is who you now are. God did not improve the old you. He created a new you in Christ.

This reality is not something you are waiting to experience in the future. Scripture says, “Now are we the sons of God,” and that we have already been translated into the kingdom of His dear Son. The transfer has already taken place. Salvation is not a promise you are hoping will happen one day; it is a present reality you are living in today.

Salvation Is Not Just Mercy

Salvation Is Not Just Mercy

Because of this new birth, you now live from a new nature. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. God has given us eternal life, and that life is in His Son, and Christ lives in you. This means God’s own life has become your life.

Salvation, therefore, is not God showing you pity from a distance. It is God sharing His very life with you. You are no longer who you used to be; you are who Christ is in you.
