Bernard M. Doro Reiterates Support for the Full Operationalisation of the National Farm Cities Project

The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard M. Doro has reiterated his support for the full operationalisation of the National Farm Cities Project aimed at creating a national model for disability and for inclusive development thereby, leaving no one behind and achieving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Renewed Hope Agenda ( RHA)

Dr. Doro made this remarks when the Executive Secretary
National Commission for Persons with Disabilities Mr Ayuba Burki other delegates from NCPWD office and from the Peace for Humanity Foundation, paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister in his office in Abuja. 30-07-2026.

The minister while receiving a Memorandum Of Understanding between the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) and Peace for Humanity Foundation appreciates their visits and pointed out that, the document has to be studied and reviewed for easy and successful implementation of the project as aligned with the RHA of the President.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Mr Ayuba Burki, who led the delegation said, their visit was to present him with the MOU and to brief the minister on the proposed National Farm Cities Project and it’s benefit to persons with disabilities . He said that Seventy Billion Naira only is proposed for the implementation of the project looking at the source from Government budget, donor partners, private sectors, Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)in the commission etc.

Nigeria he said, has over 35 million persons with disabilities, many of whom are women and children facing extreme unemployment and poverty.

The project is proposed to be implemented in the six geo- political zones of Nigeria and FCT.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, today 30th July, 2026 met with a delegation of Police Retired Officers Forum at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, in a consultative engagement focused on issues affecting retired police personnel, particularly concerns surrounding the administration and welfare of retired police officers.

In his remarks, the IGP assured them that the Nigeria Police Force leadership remains deeply committed to addressing issues affecting Retired Officers. He emphasized that the welfare of retirees is a standing priority for the Force Management Team and that discussions concerning their well-being are a regular feature of management deliberations.
