Lagos Government Trains Students On Emergency Lines 767/112
The Lagos government has trained over 1,000 students on the proper use of emergency toll-free lines 767 and 112.
The sensitisation, held at State Junior High School, Oyewole, Agege, was organised by the Lagos State Command and Control Centre, according to a statement by the LSCCC on Wednesday.
It said the initiative was part of efforts to promote emergency preparedness and a culture of responsible response among residents, especially students.
It reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding safety education across schools and communities.
The statement said the programme aimed to equip students with life-saving knowledge and improve public safety awareness.
It urged students to use emergency lines responsibly and avoid hoax calls that could delay urgent assistance.
The centre added that the students were taught to stay calm, provide accurate location details, and report emergencies promptly.
“Some students expressed appreciation, pledging to share the knowledge with families and peers,” she said.

It added that the students received educational materials to reinforce safety awareness beyond the classroom.
The school’s principal, Olabimpe Balogun, commended the initiative, saying that it would strengthen safety awareness within the school.
Ms Balogun said the school had safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and sand buckets, for emergencies.

MACBAN Condemns Plateau k1llings, Urges President Tinubu To Hunt Down Perpetrators
MACBAN Condemns Plateau k1llings, Urges President Tinubu To Hunt Down Perpetrators
MACBAN condemns Plateau k1llings. The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has condemned the recent k1lling of over 30 innocent citizens in Jos, Plateau.
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has condemned the recent killing of over 30 innocent citizens in Jos, Plateau.
The president of MACBAN, Baba Othman-Ngelzarma, in a statement, said the tragic loss of lives was yet another painful reminder of the unending bloodshed that had plagued the state.
According to him, such an ugly situation must not continue.
“We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and all those affected by this senseless violence.
“MACBAN views with grave concern the recurring cycle of violence in Plateau, which continues to undermine peaceful coexistence and threaten national unity,” he said.
Mr Othman-Ngelzarma decried that Plateau had suffered too long from division, mistrust, and retaliatory attacks, saying, “It is time to break this cycle. We are particularly disturbed by the alleged role played by some religious leaders and influencers.”
“Instead of promoting peace and tolerance, they have chosen to fan the embers of division through reckless and inflammatory rhetoric,” he added. “Such actions are irresponsible, dangerous, and contribute directly to the escalation of violence and intolerance in our communities.”
He reiterated the need for religious leadership to be a force for unity, not a platform for incitement.
Mr Othman-Ngelzarma called on all religious, traditional, and community leaders to exercise restraint, promote dialogue, and actively work to de-escalate tensions.
“Words matter. In fragile environments like ours, they can either heal or destroy. MACBAN also calls on security agencies to act decisively and professionally.
“Those responsible for instigating violence, whether through direct action or inciting statements, must be identified, investigated, and brought to justice without fear or favour. Impunity only emboldens further violence,” he said.
The pastoralist leader urged the relevant authorities to intensify intelligence gathering to identify perpetrators and their sponsors.
Mr Othman-Ngelzarma implored security agencies to ensure the prosecution of individuals inciting violence, including any religious figures found culpable. He also advised security agencies to strengthen security presence in vulnerable communities to prevent further attacks.

Tinubu
“The sanctity of human life must remain non-negotiable. MACBAN reiterates its commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and national unity.
“We stand ready to collaborate with all stakeholders, government, civil society, religious institutions, and community leaders to restore lasting peace in Plateau and across Nigeria. The time for decisive action is now. Enough of the bloodshed,” Mr Othman-Ngelzarma said.

ADC Discloses How APC Government Pressure INEC Into Taking Illegal Action
ADC Discloses How APC Government Pressure INEC Into Taking Illegal Action
APC government to pressure INEC. Yesterday, we disclosed a sinister plot by agents of the ruling APC government to pressure INEC into taking illegal action to destabilise our party, following the milestone movement of H.E. Rabiu Kwankwaso to the ADC.
After meeting a brick wall with INEC, they have now changed tactics, but the objectives remain the same. Information reaching us this morning is that a public protest is being planned for tomorrow, Thursday, 2nd April, in Abuja, sponsored by a particularly notorious minister. Their expectation is that a protest will give oxygen to a case already suffocating in the courts under the weight of its own illegality.
The plan is simple: a paid crowd, posturing as aggrieved party members, will take to the streets demanding “David Mark Must Go.” This, they hope, will create “public pressure” on the INEC Chairman to magically upgrade and recognise an individual who resigned his position and was subsequently expelled from the ADC, to the position of National Chairman of a party he no longer belongs to.

ADC
The plan by the ruling APC government to hijack the leadership of the ADC, the only viable opposition party left in the country, is real. If anything, it has assumed a new level of desperation in the past few days. They are not just afraid of our momentum. They are afraid of what happens when the Nigerian people start paying attention and begin to believe that change is possible.
ADC remains focused on our duty to Nigerians, and we shall remain law-abiding. We will, however, resist by all lawful and necessary means. If they are not acting on his orders, President Tinubu should rein in his enforcers before it is too late.
